Thank you for an incredible journey.

When we first opened our doors as the very first drone store in Rhode Island, the skies looked a lot different. We were met with a mix of wild excitement and understandable skepticism about this emerging technology. But we believed in the future of flight, and more importantly, we believed in the community we wanted to build.

Cloud City Drones started as a true family business. Over the years, our counters and workbenches were staffed by the people we love most—our family and closest friends. That tight-knit energy shaped everything we did. Whether you were a backyard enthusiast coming in to pick up your very first quadcopter, or a commercial pilot needing a specialized repair, you were welcomed into our family.

Together, we grew into something far bigger than we ever imagined. We are immensely proud to have provided critical sales, training, and service to public safety agencies across the region, as well as some of the most innovative organizations in the world—including NASA, SpaceX, Pfizer, and Amazon. To know that a homegrown Rhode Island business played a part in the cutting edge of global technology and public safety is an honor we will carry with us forever.

Turning the Page on Our Own Terms

Lately, the landscape of the domestic UAS industry has shifted significantly. Navigating the evolving regulatory pressures and the tightening restrictions on foreign-manufactured drones has certainly been a challenge. It ultimately became the final nail in the operational model we built.

Because of these industry-wide shifts, we have made the conscious, personal decision to close this chapter of our lives. We want to share clearly that this is a positive transition for us. We are not being forced out by financial hardship; rather, we are choosing to go out on a high note, on our own terms, while we are incredibly proud of the work we’ve done. We had a truly great run, and we are leaving with full hearts and a legacy we love.
