Key Features
This DJI Avata light kit is for indoor Tactical operations where light is needed for interior illumination and allowing light for the positioning sensor to maintain steady flight. The 4-light system has two front Lights, two bottom lights, and a snap-in battery holder to ensure the battery does not eject on crash impact.
The DJI Avata light keeps the needed low profile and width to ensure you can fit through small spaces with no drag, and the mounts are NOT subjected to direct strikes, unlike a few that have come into the market. This design also eliminates snags that other mounts can't avoid. The battery life is 50-60 minutes with a rapid charge battery and the ability cheaply to swap out.
This DJI Avata light kit uses floodlights that provide full-room lighting versus spotlights that limit the full view. They can be used to gain a tactical advantage in the strobe mode. It allows turtle mode to work in all orientations, unlike other kits. Lastly, you can run a small power supply to increase the battery life to over 2 hours. However, this would increase weight and decrease the Avata 2's battery life.
The 4 Light also allows storage in most cases as it does not protrude up, and the bottom lights fit snuggly under the gear! You can also add a rear-facing light if needed. The 4-light system has innovative clip mounts to hold the lights for more interior and positional lighting. The impact on the flight time is minimal and provides the necessary light for interior flying in a dark environment. It also helps the exterior to maintain LOS. It's designed for SWAT and Haz-Mat teams who may need to fly into structures for recon.
The DJI Avata light kit includes the zero profile dual mount and two snap-on-bottom mounts with four Firehouse Micro Lights, two for the front and two for the bottom, and a snap in the battery holder. The lights have five modes: strobe, flash, spotlight, flash strobe, and tactical strobe (steady for 5 seconds, then strobes for 5 seconds to blind occupant.) Run times typically are 45-55 mins with full charge.
